Cask Strength - Navan Whiskey Festival Bottle 2026 #3

For those who enjoy their whiskey straight from the Oloroso Hogshead cask, then this is the bottle for you. Best enjoyed by adding a drop of water to suit your palate.

This expression is from the same Boann batch as the 46%(cask #2382) bottle, so the same mashbill and maturation but from its own Oloroso cask, which was disgorged separately to maintain its own cask flavour.

The current technical file restricts this release from being called Single Pot Still Whiskey but a recent public consultation will hopefully mean this will be re-characterised soon. The 17% Oats which gives a unique creaminess, is outside the technical file definition of Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey. This recent public consultation allowed P. Bermingham’s and our Whiskey Club the opportunity to comment on proposed changes to the Irish Whiskey technical file.
