You must be at least 18 years old to browse this site, place an order, or receive a delivery from us. It is an offence under the Intoxicating Liquor Acts to buy alcohol for, or deliver alcohol to, a person under 18.

By placing an order you confirm that you and the person receiving the delivery are both aged 18 or over. We operate an age-confirmation prompt on entry to the site, and our carrier may ask for photo ID on delivery. If age cannot be verified we will not hand over the order, and we may cancel it and refund the price paid (delivery charges for a refused or undeliverable order may not be refunded).

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order where we reasonably believe alcohol is being purchased by or for a person under 18, or where a purchase appears to be for resale.

Placing an order is an offer by you to buy the products in your basket at the prices shown. Your order is accepted, and a contract formed, only when we send you an order confirmation email. If we cannot accept your order (for example a product is out of stock, we cannot verify your details, or there has been a pricing error) we will tell you and refund any payment taken.

Product images and descriptions are provided in good faith but are illustrative; batch characteristics of a small-batch whiskey will vary. Nothing on this site is a professional tasting note or investment advice.

We make every effort to price products correctly. If we discover an error in the price of goods you have ordered we will contact you to ask whether you wish to proceed at the correct price or cancel. We are not obliged to supply goods at an incorrect price.

This shop is operated by Dublingat Inn Ltd trading as P. Bermingham, a licensed public house and off-licence at 7 Ludlow Street, Navan, Co. Meath, C15 A337, Ireland (“we”, “us”, “P. Bermingham”). We sell alcohol under our retail off-licence. You can reach us at info@berminghams.ie or by post at the address above.

All prices are in euro (€) and include Irish VAT and excise duty where applicable. Any delivery charge is shown separately at checkout before you pay. The price payable is the price displayed at the time you place your order.

Payment is taken in full at the time of ordering. Card payments are processed by Dojo (Dojo Payments / Paymentsense). Your full card details are entered directly into Dojo’s secure fields and are not seen by or stored on our servers. We receive only a confirmation of payment and a payment reference.

We currently deliver within the Republic of Ireland only. We do not ship internationally at this time; if that changes these terms and the checkout will be updated.

Delivery is a flat €8.50 per order anywhere in the Republic of Ireland, regardless of how many bottles you buy. The charge is shown as a separate line in your basket and at checkout before you pay.

Orders are hand-packed and dispatched by An Post or a courier, typically within 1–2 working days. Estimated delivery is 3–5 working days from dispatch; this is an estimate, not a guarantee, and we are not liable for delays caused by the carrier or by events outside our reasonable control.

Someone aged 18 or over must be present to accept the delivery and may be asked for ID. Alcohol will not be left unattended, in a safe place, or with a neighbour without an adult signature. If a delivery cannot be completed the carrier will normally attempt redelivery or hold the parcel for collection; parcels returned to us as undeliverable will be refunded less the outbound delivery cost.

Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery. Title passes to you once we have received payment in full.

Under the European Union (Consumer Information, Cancellation and Other Rights) Regulations 2013 you may cancel a distance-sale order for any reason within 14 days, starting the day after you receive the goods. To cancel, email info@berminghams.ie with your order reference before the 14 days expire; a clear statement that you are cancelling is enough.

You must return the bottles to us unopened, with seals intact and undamaged, within 14 days of telling us you are cancelling. You are responsible for the cost and safe packaging of the return, and for the goods until they reach us — we recommend a tracked, insured service. We will refund the price paid and the standard outbound delivery cost within 14 days of receiving the goods back (or of proof that you have sent them), using the same payment method you used to pay. We may reduce the refund to reflect any loss in value caused by handling beyond what is necessary to check the goods.

For hygiene and safety reasons we cannot accept the return of, or refund, any bottle that has been opened, where the seal is broken, or which has been decanted, unless the product was faulty or not as described. This does not affect your statutory rights in respect of faulty goods.

If your order arrives damaged, leaking, or is not what you ordered, contact us within 7 days of delivery at info@berminghams.ie with your order reference and photographs of the packaging and bottle. Under the Sale of Goods and Supply of Services Acts and the Consumer Rights Act 2022 goods must be of merchantable quality, fit for purpose and as described. Where they are not, you are entitled to a repair, replacement or refund. We will cover reasonable return costs for faulty goods.

Dublingat Inn Ltd, trading as P. Bermingham, is the data controller for personal data collected through this shop. We are committed to handling your data in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 and the Data Protection Act 2018.

What we collect

The information you give us at checkout: your name, email address, delivery address and Eircode, the contents and value of your order, and a payment reference from Dojo. We do not collect or store your card number, expiry or security code. We keep a record of your orders and of emails you send us.

Why we use it, and our legal basis

• To take payment, fulfil and deliver your order, and send you order-related emails — necessary to perform our contract with you.
• To keep sales and tax records — to comply with a legal obligation (Revenue requires business records to be retained, generally for six years).
• To prevent fraud and misuse, verify age, and handle queries, returns and complaints — our legitimate interests in running the shop safely and lawfully.

We do not use your data for marketing, and we do not carry out profiling or automated decision-making. We do not sell or rent your personal data to anyone.

Who we share it with

Only the service providers we need to fulfil your order, each acting as our processor under contract:

• Dojo — card payment processing.
• An Post / our delivery carrier — name, address and contact details to deliver your parcel.
• Supabase — database hosting for our order records (EU region).
• Resend — sending transactional order emails (EU region).
• Our web host — hosting this website in Ireland.

We may also disclose data where required by law, or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. Our providers are located in the EU/EEA; if any processing takes place outside the EEA it will be under safeguards approved under the GDPR.

How long we keep it

Order and transaction records are kept for six years to meet tax and accounting obligations. Correspondence is kept for up to two years. Data we no longer need is deleted or anonymised.

Your rights

You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have inaccurate data corrected, to have data erased or its processing restricted where the law allows, to object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, email info@berminghams.ie. We will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Data Protection Commission, dataprotection.ie.

This site does not use advertising or analytics cookies and does not track you across other sites. We store a small amount of data in your browser’s local storage purely so the site works: your shopping basket, and your confirmation that you are over 18. This data stays on your device, is not sent to us as a cookie, and you can clear it at any time through your browser settings.

All content on this site — text, branding, the P. Bermingham name and marks, photography and design — is owned by or licensed to P. Bermingham and is protected by copyright and trade mark law. You may view and print pages for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not otherwise copy, reproduce or use our content without our written permission.

We provide this site and our products with reasonable care and skill. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss that was not reasonably foreseeable, for business losses, or for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any matter where it would be unlawful to limit or exclude liability — including your statutory rights as a consumer, which are not affected by anything on this page.

These terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of Ireland, and the courts of Ireland have exclusive jurisdiction. If you have a complaint, contact us first at info@berminghams.ie and we will try to resolve it. Consumers may also use the European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution platform.

We may update these terms from time to time; the “last updated” date at the top shows when. The terms that apply to your order are the ones in force when you place it.
